Heavy spring rains flooded Missouri fields in 2019. Landsat data helped identify
fields that were underwater, fields that had been planted, and changes in crop
yield estimates. Landsat also helps the State Forestry Division monitor the health
of its trees, including oak trees, which are a vital resource to the State’s timber and
tourism industries.
