Landsat helps take care of New Mexico’s spectacular landscapes. Its imagery
identifies areas with high fuel loads, showing where prescribed burns can help
prevent future wildfires. Researchers also use Landsat data to monitor water use
in the Upper Rio Grande Basin and to help inform local decisions regarding the
State’s agriculture and recreation industries.
